The power grid will deliver this green energy to everyone that is connected to the grid (mostly customers located physically near the wind turbines, hydro-electric turbines, solar, etc.) instead of power produced by non renewable resources like coal, natural gas, nuclear, etc. The problem is, Texas does not have the renewable generation capacity to serve the entire population with this more costly but renewable power -- but it does help!

Green Mountain Energy has recently made great strides in their effort to create a company that meets their environmental goals as well as their financial goals by adding a portfolio of products that make more sense to customers less interested in the environment and more interested in their pocketbook.
