The Electric Reliability Council of Texas declared a Level 3 Energy Emergency in Texas at 5:30am today. While power to the grid remains at maximum output levels, it's still not enough to meet the high demands.
As a result of the shortage, Texans are being asked to curtail their electricity consumption, and endure rolling blackouts until the situation is under control. See the full story at
